Manchester City have reportedly held informal talks regarding a potential move for Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic.

According to CaughtOffside, the Premier League club have expressed interest in the 21-year-old ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report states that Manchester City have already held informal discussions with people close to the Germany international.

Pavlovic has emerged as one of Bayern Munich’s promising midfield players since progressing through the club’s academy system.

The midfielder has made 87 appearances for Bayern Munich’s first team since breaking into the senior squad.

Head coach Vincent Kompany has shown strong confidence in the young midfielder. Pavlovic has been handed 25 starts across all competitions during the current season.

The Bayern midfielder has also started all eight of the club’s Champions League matches during the campaign.

Pavlovic is expected to feature again when Bayern Munich face Atalanta in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday.

Despite the growing interest, Pavlovic is reportedly prioritising a future with Bayern Munich.

The midfielder remains under contract with the German club until the summer of 2029.

With more than three years remaining on his current deal, Bayern Munich are not under pressure to consider transfer offers.
